Lori and Dewayne in Cedar Hill, Texas

We got to meet this SUPER Cool couple on Saturday. They were a very laid back couple and a pleasure to shoot. Thank you both for being just so much fun to be with.

If you get a chance, you should check out the Uptown Village in Cedar Hill, Texas. It is a brand new area with plenty of nice shops, and casual areas. Of course, they also have a Barnes and Noble...and Starbucks!

The girls!

This was from a shoot in Duncanvile, Texas late last year. These three girls were a joy to interact with. Thanks to James and Shannon for sharing them with us. As you can imagine, they were more than a handful and were every bit the blessing God intended them to be.

Anticipation

This is another of my favorites from 2007. I love the simplicity and the elegance.

...and speaking of cake

I guess you would consider this the "before" shot.

Cake

I was archiving some images from last year and I came across one I thought I would share. After all who doesn't like a little cake every once in a while?

Technorati

So today I just discovered a way to organize and manage the many blogs I read. It's called, well you guessed it, Technorati.

Fort Worth Stockyards

Here are a few from a shoot I did yesterday at the Fort Worth Stockyards. This was part of a flikr meetup so I also got to meet some other cool photographers. I just wanted to share a few of those images with you guys. So please enjoy some of the highlights of the Fort Worth Stock show!

Downtown Cedar Hill, Texas

I am pretty impressed with Nikon's latest camera. I took the Nikon D300 out for a spin and grabbed a few shots from downtown Cedar Hill, Texas. (For those of you who are not from the Dallas - Fort Worth area, Cedar Hill is about 12 miles south of downtown Dallas.)

I found an interesting antique store there but it was closed. It's too bad the antique store was not open. I really wanted to go inside and take a look around. Maybe the store will be open next time.

Digital Wedding Forum 2008

Digital Wedding Forum, here I come!

Today we are leaving for the DWF Convention. The Digital Wedding Forum is an online community for photographers. I can say that DWF has had a tremendous effect upon my growth as a photographer and a business owner.

So we are off to Tampa for learning, shooting and...well, FUN!

See ya!

The calm before the storm.

Being a dog must be hard. Just look at Justice, he is exhausted! I guess looking good all the time is hard work.

Don't let his good looks and calm appearance fool you. This dog is all play, all the time.

White Rhino Coffeehouse

Tabitha and I discovered this great little coffehouse in Cedar Hill this afternoon. We were just driving around and stumbled across it on West Beltline Road. I promise I did not know about the Xbox360 and the ~42" LCD beforehand...I promise!!!

I grabbed a cup of joe and got white hot chocolate for my sweetie. We met a few Christians who worked there. God gave us a pleasant surpise. We were able to swap and share "relationship stories" and God was glorified. We enjoyed sharing experiences with our sisters in Christ.

Alicia Keys

Do you remember real music? Do you remember when artists used to be able to sing? Do you remember when you could go and buy and ALBUM and every song was great?

Well, I remember those days. I remember Prince, "Sign o' the Times" and how every song was got my head bobbing in a different direction. (Maybe that where the stiff neck comes from.) Songs like "Forever In My Life" resonated with me even as a teenager. "Adore" perfectly explains how I feel about me wife. (Hey BABY!)

If you remember those days, then RUN to the closest store...you know that you live half-way between two Wal-Marts. What am I saying? If you are reading a blog on your Internet Machine then you MUST have iTunes, right? Just go buy Alicia Keys "As I Am". Her latest single release "No One" may not even be the best song on the CD. It's real music folks, grown-up music. It will be right at home next to Sam Cooke, The Temptations and Luther Vandross in your iPod.

Been around the world and I...

found a great hotel!

I'm here in Washington D. C. for a project. I'm staying at the Residence Inn in Dulles, VA. It's very nice. Did I mention the 32" LCD HDTV in the living room? Maybe not.
